The District Foundation is the “fund-raising arm” of the La.-Miss.-W. Tenn. Kiwanis District. It is charged with finding financial ways to support scholarships and leadership training of the Service Leadership Programs, and meaningful service projects of the member Kiwanis clubs. These projects are in consonance with and support the Objects of Kiwanis International.

“To provide financial assistance for Kiwanis projects and programs within our District.”
What is the “Endowment Program” of the District Foundation?
The District Foundation Board of Directors has established a lofty goal to increase the endowed funds of the Foundation to a minimum of $500,000. Currently sitting around $460,000, the endowment fund is invested using a long-term growth strategy adopted by the Board. The principal of the fund will remain untouched to continue to earn the highest amount of interest/dividends possible. The interest and dividends will be used as needed to help fund the Foundation’s Grants & Scholarship Programs.
Moneys donated to the 3 major contribution/recognition plans – the Henry W. Nash~Eugene J. Maier Tablet of Honor, the John T. Roberts Fellowship, and the River of Life Fellowship – are now dedicated to the Endowment Fund. Additionally, money donated by individuals are also earmarked for the Endowment Fund, as these donations can easily be expanded and used towards one of these major plans.
